Race Format:
The Arkansas State Championship Beer Mile consists of four laps and four beers, totaling one mile. Participants must:

  • Drink one 12-ounce beer before running each lap.
  • Run one lap (0.25 miles) after each beer.
  • Repeat this process three more times, drinking and running for a total of four laps and four beers.

Participants must complete their consumption inside the designated chug zone and hand their beer can to a race official before running each lap. The official will pour the remaining contents of the can into a measuring device to ensure it is fully consumed. A participant who has one ounce or more of beer (cumulative) remaining will be disqualified.

  • Elite: 12-minute time limit (Times in this category will be considered for the championship title)

Participants must complete the race within their category’s time limit. If the time expires, participants will be “swept” from the course, regardless of their progress.
